GNF conducts cutting edge drug discovery research across disciplines important for human health. The GNF Oncology drug discovery group has an opening for a BS/MS Scientist.
The successful candidate will play a key role in assay development for oncology and immune-oncology programs as well as discovery of new immune regulators in the tumor microenvironment. The position is ideal for a candidate who has a diverse range of skill sets and a strong interest in pursuing preclinical drug discovery from target identification, drug discovery, to understanding mechanism-of-action for new drugs.
Major activities include developing and running immune and tumor cell assays to support drug discovery efforts; developing screens (in vitro or in vivo) to identify immuno-oncology targets using small molecule, secreted protein, and RNAi or CRISPR libraries; and profiling studies to support biomarker development.

Desired profile
Minimum Requirements
• BS/MS with 3+ years of relevant research experience
• Technical skills: primary and transformed cell culture, stable cell line generation, T cell and/or myeloid cell functional assays, multi-color flow cytometry (FACS), viral transduction, molecular cloning, and qRT-PCR
• Experience with in vivo tumor models is a plus
• Strong analytical and computer skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
