Contribute to developability assessment on Novartis biologics pipeline to select lead candidate for clinical development. Perform evaluation of downstream process to identify manufacturability challenges for clinical development. In particular, develop and execute lab-scale purification processes using various chromatography techniques such as AC (Affinity), AEC (Anion Exchange), CEC (Cation Exchange), HIC (Hydrophobic Interaction), SEC (Size Exclusion) and Mixed Mode, and filtration techniques such as UF/DF (Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration) for the production of antibodies and therapeutic proteins to meet internal and external material requests for drug discovery. Work on various lab equipment including, but not limited to AKTA Pilot, AKTA avant, AKTA Explorer, AKTA Pure, SciLog systems, Bench and Pilot TFF (Tangential Flow Filtration), Nanodrop and Centrifuge. Contribute to cross-functional team responsible for profiling and production of protein drug substance. Support several projects and manage accelerated project timelines. Perform documentation, complex sample handling and data tracking as required. Coordinate material supply, logistics, and production timelines. Write and review various LPs (Lab Procedures) to develop purification strategies. Work closely with analytical team to coordinate all in-process analytics for decision-making on suitable production process. Analyze data of various assays such as SEC-HPLC (Size Exclusion- High Performance Liquid Chromatography), AC- HPLC (Affinity- High Performance Liquid Chromatography), LabChip, MS (Mass Spectrometry), UV/VIS, Nanodrop, SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate- polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis).
