Job Purpose:

The purpose of the S2C Analyst – Medical role is to provide support to Medical and Regulatory Procurement Category manager(s) at the operational and tactical level.

Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct or support internal data gathering processes; such as cross-divisional demand figures
•Conduct or support the collection of supplier, market, category and internal business information at both the category and sub-category levels
•Run RFI, RFP and RFQ processes in collaboration with line function and/or the Global/Regional Category or Manager
•Responsible for understanding stakeholder requirements and incorporating them into projects in support of the category manager
•Responsible for negotiating pricing with suppliers on behalf of Novartis stakeholders to leverage spend across Novartis network for given spend thresholds
•Negotiation of contract terms below a defined value threshold – working closely with legal, compliance, and finance functions
•Produce final contracts, maintain, archive and monitor as needed. This could include Confidentiality Agreements CDAs, Master Supply/Service Agreements (frame agreements), work-orders, scopes of work, equipment maintenance contracts, and material transfer agreements
•Monitor and support compliance to global contracts
•Support the buying process executed at line-function level, PO review for savings reporting
•Participate in initiatives and projects to drive category objectives.
•Responsible for assisting the consolidation of information and reporting to inform the Procurement Balanced Scorecard and dashboard reports
•Responsible for providing project management support to specific projects (if required)
•Responsible for assisting the coordination of materials for supplier segmentation processes
•Responsible for supporting the category Supplier Performance and Innovation activities
•Responsible for supporting the Global Category Lead to track and document risk and issue management for the category
•Contribute to vendor audit requests and facilitate corrective action plans
•Calculate, project, and report savings across the various Novartis divisions in all available systems

The ideal candidate will have:

•Bachelor’s degree Native German written and verbal skills (or equivalent), business proficiency in English written and verbal
•3-5 years’ experience in Procurement
•Demonstrated ability of data analysis
•Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
•Knowledge of clinical trials and associated processes
•Solid understanding of contractual legal terms and conditions
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to make decisions and take responsibility for actions
•Ability to address issues assertively in a respectful and appropriate manner
•Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record of business partnering Bachelor’s degree Native German written and verbal skills (or equivalent), business proficiency in English written and verbal
