Novartis is currently recruiting for a Qlik Solution Designer to join our international team to work on effective transformation of the technical solution requirements for any functions (Finance, TechOps, HR, Commercial or Procurement) into IT understandable Qlik technical design specifications, ultimately leading to meeting the businesses expectations on the solution.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Qlik Solution Designer role is to understand the business problems and identify relevant data sources to define architecture components required for the solution. To ensure the consistent design of solutions and lead coordination of all Qlik solution design activities across projects and changes. To leads alignment for the Qlik solution design, liaising between Functional Solution architects, Project managers, Technical architects, Business analysts, Information Architects and as well developers. To ensure solutions to meet the business needs and associated architecture and build are managed in accordance with Novartis information governance, security and technology standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Governs all Qlik solutions and overall design for any functions (Finance, TechOps, HR, Commercial or Procurement)
• Work closely with various functional leads, SMEs and product managers to understand various business initiatives, direction, alignment of strategy to scope of project and drive BI requirements / solution design early on in the associated projects
• Works closely with the Technical Architects to align solution designs with the proposed technology and security architecture
• Lead the solution design of any Qlik solutions across any function projects, closely liaising with business analysts, product and project managers
• Ensure compliance of all designed solutions to all relevant internal/external regulatory requirements (e.g. GxP, Novartis Information and Security framework)

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• University degree in computer science, operations, management information systems or related discipline • Languages: Fluent English written & spoken
• >3 years of years of experience in Analytics solution design
• Good understanding at least of one functional area (TechOps, Finance, Procurement, Commercial or HR)
• Has worked in or closely with business functions, preferably in the areas of Finance or Commercial. Pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
• Solid working and hands on knowledge of Qlik tools (Qlik, QlikSense)
• Has exposure and working knowledge of various SAP systems/modules (e.g. SAP BW, ECC, APO)
• Strong learning, logic building, analytical and problem solving abilities combined with sense of curiosity.
• Working knowledge of IT projects, security, audit and service management procedures
• Experience in managing external Qlik consultants in different locations and time zones is a plus.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Collaborative attitude and experience of working in a multi-cultural and matrix setup
