Novartis is currently recruiting for a Procurement Analyst to join the Procurement team to work on support of Clinical Trials
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Procurement Analyst is to support the Global R&D Clinical Procurement Outsourcing Management team (CCOM) in the transactional contract administration of external services providers (ESP) for Phase I – IV Assuring the delivery of quality, timely and cost-effective external resources to support Novartis Group Clinical Services. Participate in projects and initiatives to ensure Clinical Contracting & Outsourcing Management (CCOM) is prepared to successfully respond to the changing needs and requirements (legal, operational, regulatory, and financial) of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• In partnership with Outsourcing Managers, execute and manage the contractual documents needed to effect the selection of the optimal external service provider (ESP).
• Responsible for complete contract packages for clinical ESP activities. Secure all necessary approvals to ensure compliance to SOX and company procedures.
• Prepare and utilize a contracting metrics database to track: first contact with business partners, final contract sent, originals returned and other relevant KPIs.
• Process contracts, route for e-signatures, maintain files, enter data into the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) or relative contract database, scanning/ OCR multiple documents and uploading specific components of the contracts to a shared workspace for PO creation.
• Support requests and resolve contract inquiries from Clinical Contracting & Outsourcing Management team (CCOM), Finance and Clinical Payments and Req to Pay (RTP).
• Process Vendor Maintenance in ARIBA
• Process SAP inquiries for Vendor look up

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• University Degree or equivalent
• Fluent English – Oral and written
• Experience in Drug Development in Pharmaceutical Industry preferred or relevant industry experience. Global multi-culture experience is preferred.
• Understanding of the clinical development process and understanding of the management of clinical trials.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in computer systems.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Solid problem solving skills.
