Job description

Job Description The Cell Line Development (CLD) group is part of the Integrated Biologics Profiling (IBP) Unit within the BTDM organization. The main task of the group is the generation of recombinant mammalian cell lines for the production of biopharmaceuticals. This includes all steps from generating expression vectors to the establishment of high producing clonal cell lines for the preparation and timely delivery of drug substances (DS); FACS techniques and laboratory automation are used. The CLD group is currently looking for a talented Principal Scientist. In this position, the successful candidate will report to the CLD-3 Team Head and other project management functions. He/she will lead molecular biological tasks, in particular vector construction, and NGS Sequencing; act as a Functional Lead with several technicians to lead; plan and manage dedicated cell line development projects; participate in sub-teams and contribute to overall BPRD strategies and goals. A further responsibility will be the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to improve the performance of the existing expression systems as well as the interaction with external suppliers.
