The Gilenya® Go programTM Nurse is the single point of contact in providing case management support to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients and Health Care Professionals (HCP). The Gilenya® Go programTM Nurse is responsible for coordinating, delivering resources and information to support and enhance the patient and HCP experience with Gilenya® Patient Support Program (PSP), thereby helping to limit barriers that may hinder appropriate patient outcomes.
The Gilenya® Go programTM Nurse promotes and ensures appropriate and safe use of Gilenya® through education and support to HCPs. This includes the provision of clinical training, ensuring appropriateness of services for network clinics contracted to provide clinical services within the PSP, as well as identifying and setting up tailored solutions in response to customer needs.
The Gilenya® Go programTM Nurse provides front line (telephone) Product and Program information to MS Patients, caregivers and HCPs interested or registered in the Gilenya® Go programTM. The Gilenya® Go programTM Nurse also supports the Health Management associates through MS expertise, training and ongoing support and works in collaboration with other internal Gilenya® associates (regional field-based and office-based).

Major Accountabilities
As a Gilenya® Go programTM Nurse, your main responsibilities will consist of the following:
Understand and serve customers:
• Drive a high level of customer satisfaction and facilitate Gilenya® Go programTM activities in MS Centers by uncovering and addressing HCPs' needs, developing and implementing innovative solutions, thereby enabling safe and effective use of Gilenya®, in accordance with current Product Monograph and Compliance rules;
• Be the single point of contact for the Gilenya® Go programTM among the health care community for services and support within the scope of the Gilenya® Go programTM;
• Collaborate with other internal Gilenya® associates (regional field-based and office-based) to implement solutions that address HCPs needs
Caring for patients:
• Manage patient follow-up calls to optimize adherence to treatment and reinforce program offerings and provide clinical information to patients, caregivers and HCPs interested or registered in Gilenya® Go programTM
• Collaborate with other Gilenya® Go programTM associates for optimal management of patients enrolled in the PSP;
• Support access to treatment (drug coverage) efforts at various levels to increase customer satisfaction and facilitate patient access through collaboration with patients, Novartis personnel, and customers;
• Ability to offer off-hours availability on the phone;
• Ensure quality assurance with respect to all mandates related to the patient support program, including Adverse Event reporting, and health management centers (Note: Health management centers are private health care facilities under agreement with Novartis providing services to patients in the context of the PSP);
• Provide clinical review and expertise for training and educational documents for internal and external needs;
• COMPULSORY: Associate shall be accountable to perform all duties listed in Role Profile in accordance with applicable GxP principles, and internal/external regulations (e.g. Novartis Code of Conduct, Novartis Pharma Principles and Practices for Professionals (NP4), Rx&D Code of Ethical Practices, Health Canada and all other relevant regulations).

Desired profile

• University Degree in nursing preferred
• MS Nursing International Certification (MSNICB) (to be obtained within 2 years after hiring if not available).
•≥ 2 years with practical clinical experience as a health care professional.
•≥ 2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry represents an asset.
•≥ 2 years of field experience managing a geographical area is a strong asset.
• Fully Bilingual – Oral and Written: English and French (Quebec only).
• Current active practicing nursing license with appropriate provincial nursing board, including membership which is in good standing with the nursing board.
• Proven track record of leadership abilities demonstrating pro-activeness in identifying customer needs, and ownership executing solutions.
• Strong communication and people skills – able to develop professional relationships effectively with external customers and internal Gilenya® associates (regional field based and office-based).
• Organizational skills demonstrating ability to prioritize and manage deliverables, and to effectively navigate within a matrix organization.
• Demonstrates expertise in the MS disease area and current treatment options, including program and product knowledge related to side effect management.
• Managing challenging patient situations with empathy and patience.
• Able to understand and apply medical and/or business knowledge to all aspects of role while complying with professional and ethical standards of practice.
• Ability adapt to constantly changing situations.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as required throughout region including evenings and weekends on occasion.
