Develop, improve, and troubleshoot injection molding process and equipment. Add capacity to processes and equipment used in the manufacture of intraocular lenses.
1. Facilitate the transfer of new technology and processes from R&D and validate for the manufacture and inspection of IOL's. 2. Increase manufacturing capacity and efficiency through process improvements and the fabrication, purchase, and validation of new equipment. 3. Develop new products and associated tooling and processes. 4. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used to manufacture IOL's. 5. Contribute as team member on large projects and/or manage intermediate scale projects. 6. Provide process control and troubleshooting support for the production molding area. 7. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for injection molding. 8. Coach, lead, and develop team leads and members to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met as needed. 9. Responsible for yield and cycle time improvements to existing processes. 10. Identifies, evaluates, and interacts with vendors in obtaining quotes and bids. 11. Responsible for new equipment and/or new process projects from design through completion. 12. Revises and maintains documentation covering all aspects of product processing, including drawings, SOPs, software and PMs.

Desired profile
BS/MS in Engineering (Plastics, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical) or related scientific discipline English Injection molding, mold tool design, RJG training, optics, measurement systems, motion control systems, statistics, validation, cGMP, technical writing. 3-5 years (MS), 5-6 years (BS).
