As part of our commitment for patients, Novartis is developing new innovative treatments for neurological diseases i.e. Multiple sclerosis and migraine. We are now looking for Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Neuroscience in Novartis Norway.
As an MSL you will work with our Norwegian and Nordic team on our existing and upcoming product portfolio for multiple sclerosis and migraine a well as future pipeline. The role is independent, flexible and will give you plenty of opportunities to develop your own ideas and to interact with both the local and Nordic organization within Novartis.
The role is field-based, with national responsibility, which means approximately 2-3 days per week with external customers. You will report directly to the Nordic Medical Franchise Head for Neuroscience.
Key accountabilities:
• Drive and maintain the scientific dialogue related to the products and our therapeutic areas with health care professionals and patient organizations across Norway
• Understand unmet needs in terms of educational activities and to where our products provide the greatest value for patients
• Identify opportunities for clinical trials and projects, and support the Medical Advisor building protocols
• Collaborate with our customers around educational meetings and projects intended to improve patient care and medical knowledge
• Contribute to the optimal execution of Novartis global studies in Norway in close collaboration with the Norwegian medical advisor, and our local clinical research organization
• Update and educate colleagues on the therapeutic area and the latest data on our products
• Interest for digital patients – and healthcare solutions, and support the cross functional team with building and implementation
Desired profile
Minimum requirements
Professional background and work experience need for the role
You are a nurse, MD, pharmacist, or hold a University degree in another health discipline. We strongly prefer that you have experience from working in the pharmaceutical industry or similar businesses. Experience from the neurology field and/or a PhD are considered strong merits.
Personal competencies needed for the role
You are very much engaged and motivated by meeting new people and love to discuss and collaborate with others. You are an excellent communicator, with an innovative and proactive mindset. The role requires that you are used to take responsibility for and plan your own work, as well as proactively drive your own accounts in close collaboration with the cross functional team. You need to be fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
