To effectively manage the territory by planning, organising and calling on targeted customers, utilising Global Professional Selling skills and flawlessly implementing the marketing strategies to increase the market share of the promoted products.

1. Achievement of annual sales targets within set expense objectives: achieve sales plan and maintain and grow market shares of the promoted products in the territory.
2. Territory management: effectively manage the sales territory and to maximize the number of calls on target doctors to increase market share.
3. Product knowledge and execution of marketing plan: Demonstrate and maintain sound product knowledge of Ophtha Pharma products and competitors in line with Novartis standards. Knowledge to include sound understanding on basic anatomy and physiology of the eye and ear, basic pharmacology, and pathology associates with relevant disease areas.
4. Selling skills: Implement Pharma Global Professional Selling Skills principles during calls to customers to improve effectiveness of calls and increase sales.
5. Administration: Maintain accurate and timeous administration. 6.Upholding Novartis Values and Behaviours.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

Matric, Science or Related Biochemistry and/or Sales/Marketing degree/tertiary education. English Minimum 2-3years sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry . Valid drivers licence Proficient on MS Office and SALSA Basic selling skills Customer/relationship development Target setting Business planning Product and disease knowledge (Ophthalmology).
