Job purpose:

To achieve / exceed targeted sales and maximise market share growth for allocated products in the territory and to drive effective professional business relationships with customers, in accordance with the Novartis Customer Solution Model. The territory for this position is West Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Offaly and Tipperary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve / exceed annual territory sales budget / market share growth as appropriate.
• Develop and implement territory business plan to optimise number of calls on target doctor population.
• Achieve coverage and Frequency targets with key customers and to meet the required call rate according to annual sales objectives.
• Maintain and update customer information and complete call reporting data as required by Novartis.
• Collect and record information relevant to customer targeting using CRM or other system Propose and participate in promotional actions to increase market share and customer service.
• Provide key and detailed information to target audiences. Co-ordinate visit cycles with co-detailing representative colleagues to maximise doctor coverage and impact and to ensure continuity within the team.
• To use expert knowledge of Novartis products, therapeutic area and competitors in order to build close professional customer relationships and to support sound clinical discussions
• To inform HCP’s of the safety profile of the drugs and to collect and forward safety information received from HCP’s in the course of promotional activities
• Analyse territory product performance and market data on brick-level on regular basis, propose action plan to area manager.
• Ensure adequate preparation and follow-up of specific training modules (medical, product, selling-skills, ETMS).
• Involvement in projects (e.g. training modules, development and testing of detail aids)
• Attend international meetings where appropriate.
• Pro-active involvement with RSMs and PMs to provide feedback and suggestions to support sales and product management (e.g. sales tactics, marketing programs etc.)
• Present / prepare for key meetings (internal and external).
• Host International VIP’s on territory.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

• Minimum education: Third level general education in science & or technical qualifications e.g. nursing, pharmacy
• Desirable education: University degree in business, Science or Pharmacy or Marketing
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry preferable but not essential.
