To provide functional and therapeutic area/brand expertise to support responses to complex escalated medical enquiries from Novartis country affiliates worldwide, and other medical information activities such as quality review of Global Response Documents.
Desired profile
Core Responsibilities:
1.Provide timely and quality responses to medical enquiries escalated from Novartis country affiliates. Ensure adherence to KPIs with regard to timeliness, and meet the minimum criteria in quality reviews conducted by management. 2.Review Medical Information Global Guidance Documents (GGDs) to ensure they meet quality requirements – scientifically balance and evidence-based, adhere to topic/key messages, language and grammar are correct, regulatory/safety/legal aspects are considered.
3.Provide input into strategic plans for GGD development with Global Medical Information (GMI).
4.Provide input into MI Service processes and standards to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
5.Ensure achievement of objectives and KPIs/metrics, including high customer satisfaction in surveys.
6.Generate reports for stakeholders (GMO management, Pharma management, GMI, Brand teams) on enquiry metrics and insights from countries and regions.
Additional if adequate expertise/capacity:
•Support GMI in the development of rapid response Medical Q&A's.
•Support GMI in handling Congress Medical Information booth enquiries. •Support GMI in content development for digital platforms.
Minimum Qualification:
Advanced degree in a healthcare related field
English: Excellent fluency in oral and written form
•>3 years experience in Medical Information/ Communications in the Pharmaceutical Industry (or related Medical Affairs role)
•Experience with Novartis therapeutic areas •Strong knowledge and application of good practices in medical enquiry management and writing for medical information
•Experience with reviewing medical/clinical content and providing constructive feedback
•Extensive knowledge of information resources and the effective/efficient use of them •Solid understanding of medical concepts and the impli-cations on a broader scale in the Pharmaceutical indus-try (regulatory, PV, legal, commercial, drug develop-ment, etc)
•Strong customer focus •Strong cross-functional skills and proven experience in collaboration with other departments/groups
•Excellent interpersonal communication and presentations skills
•Demonstrated innovative thinking and solution-oriented problem solving skills •Ability to manage work output within given timelines
