Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Medical Advisor role is to build scientific partnerships with stakeholders through evidence based and non – promotional materials, provide a high level of medical expertise and prepare/support the development, launch and commercialization of drug products through medical information sharing, education, clinical trial support for OGD/GMA and Medical Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop long-term professional relationships, build advocacy with and gain contributions from MEs, Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and decision makers.
• Provide and discuss scientific information and data to healthcare professionals to ensure quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information and educate them on novel emerging data, selected areas of therapeutic interest, pipeline platforms and specific business critical issues that are medically relevant.
• Convey feedback for strategic consideration.
• Contribute to the identification of, review and prioritize appropriate study protocols in consultation with clinical teams with respect to Global/Regional/Local Medical and Business Goals, scientific merit and GMO resources.
• Plan, initiate and manage local Phase IV trials
• Identify potential research opportunities that are consistent with Novartis product development strategies and facilitate investigator initiated trials (IITs) and Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) support as appropriate.
• Collaborate with and provide medical input to Regulatory Affairs, Health Economics, CS/E, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information and Market Access and support their relevant initiatives as appropriate.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
• MD, PharmD, pharmacist, PHD and other life sciences with solid medical/technical background and proven competencies including but not limited to influencing, negotiation, presentation skills, clinical
• Danish native speaker if possible
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Proven ability to develop and foster credible relationships with MEs/HCPs/decision makers.
• 1-2 years successful MSL and/or Medical Advisor experience.
• Proficient knowledge of the Healthcare Systems (EMEA, National HAs) and of the drug development and commercialization processes, as well as excellent knowledge of international standards (ICH/GCP) and Novartis standards.
