As part of our commitment for patients and healthcare professionals, Novartis is developing new innovative treatments for Cardiac and Metabolic Diseases.

We are now looking for a Medical Advisor, Cardiology, to work with the Nordic Cardiology and Metabolic team on our new exciting products for heart failure. The position is based in Oslo, Norway.

As Medical Advisor you will be responsible for provision of thorough up-to-date medical information on our products and the therapeutic area to our key customers and to internal staff. An important part of the role is to collaborate with key experts in the field around meetings, projects and outcome studies - to understand where our products provide the greatest value to patients and health care. You will also collaborate with our Nordic, Region Europe and Global Medical study teams in the execution of local and global studies.

The medical strategy and content of your work is developed in close collaboration with the Nordic medical team, your Norwegian medical colleague as well as colleagues from other functions. This is an independent and flexible role that will give you plenty of opportunities to develop your own ideas and to interact with both the European and Global organization within Novartis. You will report directly to the Nordic Medical Franchise Head for Cardiology and Metabolics.

Desired profile

The successful candidate is an MD, nurse or holds a University degree in a health discipline. A PhD or experience of conducting research is required. Previous work in the pharmaceutical industry and/or experience in the cardiovascular field, or work with patients are considered strong merits.

You have a strong personal drive, the integrity to stand up for your beliefs and you are an excellent communicator. The role requires that you are used to take responsibility for and plan your own work and truly enjoy collaboration with other people. You need to be fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
