The Material Planner defines the tactic for planning and managing incoming materials (Raw materials, consumables, spare parts) used to manufacture drug substance.
He guarantees the availability of materials needed for drug substance manufacturing according site standards.
He ensure that all incoming materials are delivered, stored, tested and released according to production planning.
* Ensure material availability for production in agreement with production plan jointly with the different teams (SCM, Production, QA, QC).
* Provide monthly forecasts for incoming materials and ensure budget adherence.
* Responsible for the setup and good performance of manufacturing resource planning (MRP) in SAP. Owner of the data in SAP MRP fields.
* SAP Super User for the topics sourcing, planning, forecasting and finance
* Lead and manage the write-offs process. Report write-offs to budget owner and SCM Head.
* Support the buyers and SCM team in the selection and evaluation of suppliers according to the concept “Quality – Delivery time – Price”.
* Identify opportunities to reduce costs.
* Negotiate the conditions with suppliers when sourcing directly.

Key Performance Indicators:
• financial forecasting accuracy in material procurement is below 3%
• physical and system inventory are up to date
• material master data is accurate, GMP compliant and up to date in the local SAP ERP system

Desired profile

Education: Advanced degree in scientific, business management or relevant discipline

* Fluent English minimum.
* Fluent German desirable.
* French an asset.

* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong knowledge of supply chain for incoming and outcoming goods under GMP.
* Good knowledge of material planning
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* Able to lead in a matrix environment with different stakeholders
