Position Purpose:
• To lead MAx projects in collaboration with ONCO team, to build and drive innovative approach to Market Access strategy and effective coordination for new and established products within ONCO team and in alignment with Region/Global
• To reinforce partnerships with authorities and decision makers to facilitate broader and deeper market access for ONCO portfolio
• Driver within shaping environment processes especially in the field of appropriate resource allocation
• Driver of professional MAx development through professional experience; develop, maintain and share excellent understanding of the healthcare system in its complexity
• Represent Novartis company image and reputation and acts according to the highest ethical standards, according to global Novartis Code of Conduct and Corporate Citizenship policies, Achieve optimal reimbursement level and prescribing conditions for Oncology products to support growth and NVS trust

Major Responsibilities:
• To engage with ORE MAx in order to input and validate payers’ insights throughout the product development.
• To oversee & champion innovative approaches across the Max to develop Regional/Local value propositions, by means of real-world evidence, translation/customization of results from economic models and budget impact analyses.
• To develop, maintain and share excellent understanding of the healthcare system, considering the Oncology pipeline with structured stakeholder mapping and an in depth understanding of their needs.
• Develop and ensure professional development MAx department (sharing best practices, application of long term experience)
• Closely collaborate with OLT members to support ONCO vision/ short-term and long-term strategies
• To prepare, together with a cross-functional team and based on knowledge of environment, any HE data and real-world evidence to be submitted to SUKL, payers, MoH and other stakeholders to sustain the optimal MA conditions throughout the whole product lifecycle (LoE included).
• In our high-performance team ONCO environment, to collaborate with cross-functional field teams and with MA GenMed.
• Develop and ensure implementation of MAx strategy to ensure NVS growth.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, i.e. pricing and reimbursement authorities, health insurance companies, Ministry of Health, SUKL
• Close collaborate with HE&HTA Manager and Market Access manager to drive innovative MA approach in accordance with CZ legislation and internal rules.
• To generate and report ideas about new methods and processes to maximize MAx opportunities.
• To build greater awareness (within Novartis) of the National Healthcare environment, Pharma regulations and the country’s political landscape, in order to optimize Onco product access strategies and disseminate this knowledge within the business unit.
• To ensure compliance in all interaction throughout the organization/ all activities are in line with internal and external policies (NP4, AIFP, SOPs, global guidelines, legislation, etc.)
• To take responsibility for submission to SUKL/understanding payers’ requirements and needs translating them in high quality health economic evidence, leveraging results from epidemiological studies, economic models, clinical trials and budget impact analyses and supporting price negotiation.
• Gain a thorough understanding of the health economic documentation in collaboration with HE&HTA Manager.
• Take personal responsibility for ensuring results, encouraging change and fostering continual organizational improvement.
• Complete all administrative reports in a timely and appropriate fashion.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

• University degree
• Czech and English – fluent written and spoken is a MUST
• Minimum 3 years working experience from pharmaceutical industry (Rx) at medical, marketing or sales position if not within market access area
• Ideal experience - long-term experience working with authorities (SUKL, payers)
• Very good analytical thinking
• Negotiations skills, win-win strategy thinking
• Ideally deep knowledge of HC system, esp. pricing and reimbursement system
