Provide effective business planning, reporting, and cost analysis for Real Estate & Facility Services (REFS) in the US working with the domain and other NBS division BPAs across multiple sites. Partner with US REFS organization by providing meaningful and timely financial and analytical support for key business initiatives.
Major Accountabilities:
Planning & Analysis
•Assist Head BPA REFS manage Budget/forecast, Strat Plan and month-end activities for US REFS organization
•Evaluate risk and opportunities and communicate to the REFS and relevant stakeholders
•Financial evaluation of capital investments/ divestments according to guidelines; manage CAR process and capitalization in collaboration with multiple Novartis Divisions finance teams
•Establish process of tracking REFS transformation savings and manage REFS productivity reporting
•Provide meaningful reports and analysis as needed by REFS teams to understand and drive targets
Business Partnering:
•Partner with US REFS organization to evaluate and support key initiatives by thoroughly understanding the REFS business
•Propose and work in/lead projects to improve profitability and efficiency and provide due cost transparency
•Ensure business partners understand financial processes and follow internal guidelines
•Liaise with other BP&A colleagues responsible for the financial aspect of US REFS allocation
•Ensure transparency and compliance with the REFS allocation policy
•Generate ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
Reporting and Controls
•Fulfill timely and accurate monthly/periodic reporting requirements for REFS management, Global and US stakeholders
•Ensure good accounting and practices in line with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), MAL/FIKO, Investment guidelines and approvals process, all NBS forms (e.g. IS40), SOPs, POP policy
•Apply standard accounting concepts and techniques
•Ensure REFS specific functional reporting set up in SAP and FCRS; drive automation, standardized processes
•Work with FSC to set up REFS organization, cost structure and charging model
•Contribute to setting up of strong internal controls environment for the REFS business scope

Desired profile
•Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, MBA preferred
•5 – 7 years finance experience, Controlling/ Business Planning & Analysis experience preferred
•Excel expertise, SAP (R3/BW/FICO) and TM1 experience
