M&A Analyst supports the Head M&A and upper level management for deal decision making by preparing all supporting work, which includes the development of financial forecasts, company/product valuation, product portfolio analysis, growth, competitor, market share analysis and reviewing company fundamentals and financial statements:
Research and analysis:
• Active collaboration with cross-functional departments to support the diligence and investigation of opportunities
• Gaining in-depth knowledge on the competitive landscape within the assigned area of consideration
• Analyzing company performance on an absolute and relative basis
• Gathering information through numerous sources (including databases and public information)
• Build networks outside the Company to develop new opportunities
Preparing valuations for decision-making:
• Evaluation of product, portfolio or company acquisition opportunities through close collaboration with global portfolio and BD teams
• Build company forecast models
• Preparing financial due diligence
• Create financial and valuation metrics model and sensitivity analyses that allow valuation of companies and deal structures
• Presentation of findings and suggestions for deal opportunities to company´s executives
• Preparation of customized presentations and executive summaries for upper level management to use in negotiation meetings
• Assist in the preparation of issuing non-binding offers, marketing pitch books and related materials
Deal execution:
• Assist in execution of deals
• Enable successful transaction execution and integration
Desired profile
Minimum requirements
• University degree in accounting, economics, finance, or mathematics or MBA in finance
• Minimum 2-3 yrs of professional experience in commercial and financial analysis
• Healthcare/pharmaceutical industry experience beneficial
• Deal experience would also be of value
• Evidence of strong analytical and modelling skills
• Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Problem-solving skills and business intuition
• Excellent business acumen and communication skills
• Project management skills
• Fluent in English & additional language preferred
