Job purpose
You will be accountable for leveraging clinical/scientific data to optimize the delivery of Novartis UK integrated brand plans. You will act as a “data expert” in the Medical Team.
Key Responsibilities
• Supports and reviews, with the Scientific Advisor/Medical Affairs Advisor/Manager, standard letters and Q&As and provides additional information to support Medical Information enquiry handling process for Brand and TA
• Ensures proactive provision of current awareness e.g. Medical insights, competitor data and NVS clinical trial data, to field force and head office personnel as appropriate / as required
• Ensures Copy Approval Process signatory is in accordance with approval SOPs (30%)
• Reviews promotional materials within required guidelines to ensure compliance with ABPI Code of Practice regulations & NP4 guidelines
• Supports the Scientific Advisor/Medical Affairs Manager/Advisor and the Marketing team to develop and review market leading promotional campaigns
• Under the supervision the Scientific Advisor assists in the management and development of the strategic Brand Core Claim Plan (20%)
• Consults and works with Scientific Advisor/Medical Affairs Advisor/Manager in the development of core claims plans & publications plans
• Supports the TA Head/Medical Affairs Advisor/Manager/ Scientific Advisor in the delivery of the Brand Operational Plan (10%)
• Supports Medical Affairs Advisor/Manager with compilation of effective complaints against competitor promotional campaigns and defend complaints against Novartis Brands as appropriate
• Supports delivery of Brand strategies plans by supporting the Scientific Advisor in the creation and defence of ABPI Code of Practice complaints (10%) as appropriate
• Supports the Scientific Advisor in the development of high quality and timely briefing materials/training on relevant appropriate data
• Supports the Scientific Advisor in providing internal training and specialist support on Brand/TA for head office and field force personnel (15%)
• Supports the Scientific Advisor in delivering training for internal personnel (head office and field force) on Brand and TA scientific knowledge

Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Life Science Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Industry Placement Experience desirable
• Previous Ophthalmology experience and knowledge of Novartis products are desirable
