Job purpose

Novartis is currently recruiting for a Junior Health Economist to join the Value Communications Team to develop and build value communication tools in alignment with global and regional HEOR strategies in order to effectively demonstrate the clinical and economic value of Novartis brands to payers and healthcare providers.

This role offers both global and local exposure to the Health Economics area at Novartis and will provide the successful individual with the opportunity to work on highly innovative projects including new product launches.

Key Responsibilities

•Establish quality standards and ensure most innovative methods are used for the development of cost-effectiveness models and budget impact models (whether built internally or with external experts)
•Identifying value messaging, extract key points from complex documents, understand local payer discussions/ environment, linking key messages to scientific background and material.
•Work as part of the Health Economics &Outcomes Research Value Communication Team to deliver on time high quality communication tools.
•Take ownership of deliverables and drive customer interaction and communication.
•Work closely with internal customers as required, to support needs for Health Economic modeling and assessments that can support brand value evaluation
•Collaborate with functional heads and team leads in driving quality and accuracy of deliverables; constantly work on improving systems, processes and quality matrices that add value to the existing solutions and offerings.

The Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC), Dublin, was set up in 2013 and is located in a state-of-the-art facility on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge. Desired profile

•Educational background in health economics, epidemiology, health services
•Familiarity with economic modelling and excellent computer skills including modeling software (e.g. Excel with VBA experience).
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
•Working knowledge of health care reimbursement and HTA review processes.
•Previous experience working with value communication tools is considered a plus.
•Organizational, planning, resource and project management skills.
•Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to operate effectively in an international environment.
•Ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities
•Visualisation and UI/UX capabilities an advantage but essential.
• English language skills to a business standard level
