Job Summary:
The Information Governance & Management (IGM) Manager systematically ensures that all the activities necessary to design, develop and implement IT infrastructure services satisfy the requirements of the organization and the business.
Requirements:
Novartis is currently recruiting for an individual demonstrating the following:
• University degree (ideally IT or relevant)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• 1+ years of working experience in IT and/or risk management (preferably in management positions).
• Good understanding and knowledge of general IT, project management and compliance domains.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence/manage geographically or functionally dispersed teams.

Job purpose
The Information Governance & Management (IGM) Manager systematically ensures that all the activities necessary to design, develop and implement IT infrastructure services satisfy the requirements of the organization and the business. This role ensures that the appropriate definition, effectiveness, and maintenance of activities or deliverables take place as planned and that the activities are carried out according to all laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies applicable. This role holder will closely work with the IT Services. IGM Manager Baseline Role Systematically ensures implementation and monitoring of IGM activities to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled or processed by the Novartis Organization. Defines the process strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Rollout IGM activities according to IGM strategy in alignment with the Novartis Organization leadership team and business stakeholders (e.g. QA, Legal, Finance, etc.).
• Delivers IGM services to the Novartis Organization to ensure that information is adequately protected.
• Proactively works with Novartis Organization leadership team and business stakeholders to implement and follow Information Management Policy and IGM Standards.
• Ensures that external legal and regulatory requirements for information management are fulfilled.
• Facilitates the preparation and follow-up on internal and external audit. Quality Manager The Quality Manager systematically ensures that all the activities necessary to design, develop, deploy, operate and retire IT services satisfy IGM requirements.
• Drives continuous improvement of the Quality System to meet and sustain compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Drives and facilitates the creation of relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet IGM requirements.
• Supports the development and delivery of training in quality matters.
• Prepares reviews and approves major Quality System documentation to ensure consistency with IGM requirements and quality of deliverables. Information Lifecycle Manager assumes responsibility for the optimal design, delivery and deployment of processes, practices and other activities to ensure security of information throughout its lifecycle.
• Communicates and publicizes the information management policy to all appropriate parties.
• Promotes education and awareness of information lifecycle management practices.
• Ensures that the information management policy is enforced and adhered to.
• Ensures that Information Types have owners assigned, accountabilities are understood, Information Types are classified and retention schedules assigned (if relevant).
• Ensures that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information are maintained according to classification.
