The Internship Program is a 10-12 week paid summer program focused on providing college students with practical work experience.
Our intern assignments are real Research & Development work designed to allow you to experience, first hand, the type of work we do within Alcon. Interns are assigned a project, conducted under the guidance of an Alcon scientist or engineer, and will also contribute to their team’s day-to-day responsibilities. As an intern, you can make an impact on the business. R&D Internships this summer will be in one of three locations: Lake Forest, CA, Fort Worth, TX, and Johns Creek, GA

Alcon’s 10-12 week summer internship program provides real-world work experience to university students. Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week during the length of their internship, unless otherwise specified by their manager. In addition to work assignments and projects, Alcon also provides the students career development and networking opportunities throughout the duration of the summer internship program.

Minimum requirements

Current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited university
•Preferred concentration in biomedical engineering
•Ability to commit to a 10-12 week fulltime summer program
•Willingness to learn from others on the job and inside a specific team
•Curiosity to explore different functions and unique roles at Alcon
