The Novartis Foundation is a philanthropic organization which strives to have sustainable impact on the health of low-income communities through a combination of programmatic work, health outcomes research, and its translation into policy to tackle global health challenges. We work hand-in-hand with local and global partners to catalyze sustainable healthcare models to improve access and health outcomes, and to accelerate efforts to eliminate leprosy and malaria by focusing on interventions that aim to interrupt transmission. Everything we do is grounded in evidence and innovation, and our work is a continuous cycle of evaluation, adaptation and application.
Major accountabilities:
The Novartis Foundation is currently funding and monitoring several Public Health projects worldwide, with international and local partners (NGOs, Universities, consultants).
To ensure that our funds are used in the most efficient and ethical way, we are strengthening even further our Project Management and Risk Assessment units. You will help in these two areas:
• Tracking, monitoring and reporting the progress of the projects; contributing to the creation of new Project Management guidelines
• Identification and assessment of the risks, development of mitigation measures and monitoring plans

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
• Recent MSc or PhD graduate (graduation not longer than 2 years ago) with very good grades. Business, science or engineering background preferred.
• Previous work/internship experience is not required, as far as you to have these skills:
- good with MS Office
- able to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders and to create a positive work environment for the team
- autonomous and self-directed
• Fluent English (written & spoken), additional language is a plus
Start date: As soon as possible in early 2018
