We are building a global IT team with industry leading and cutting edge informatics capabilities across the Preclinical, Development & Medical landscapes. This includes everything from state of the art laboratory environments, advanced clinical and regulatory systems, high performance computing and analytics, Internet of Things (IOT), data science and Real World Evidence platforms. We will also be developing new alliances and partnerships while collaborating with other Healthcare & Technology providers to increase access to the rapidly developing external technology opportunities. This knowledge will be combined with a delivery culture where pragmatic decision making and agile implementation is embraced.

The IT Analyst is the role to translate business needs into technical requirements for validated IT systems within R&D. Additionally, this role captures, analyzes, correlates and reports on technical service, application and process data to ensure optimal performance and identify improvement opportunities.
The IT Analyst supports the design, development, validation and deployment of IT services and validated applications, systems and processes through analysis of strategy and objectives of the organization, external influences such as competitors, regulatory requirements, best in class practices, and economic factors, as well as thorough understanding of the business processes being supported by the IT organization.
Accountability Areas:
IT professional delivering technical expertise in support of R&D lab applications, business processes or customer facing IT Services
Identifies and analyzes business requirements and processes, to develop and implement a defined technology/system/application to support on-going operations, projects, IT Services or business processes
Analyzes application / system / process / IT service performance data and provides ad-hoc and periodic reporting to the relevant stakeholders
Proficient in Validation and Qualification aspects of IT systems
Proficient in Novartis project management methodology/ ICE.
Responsible for creating and/or contributing to quality documents associated with projects.
Coordinates project documentation, testing, and related activities to ensure compliance with business and regulatory needs.
Performs/contributes to various assessments including but not limited to electronic record/electronic signature and data classifications.
Manages across multiple, concurrent projects depending upon the size of the projects.

Desired profile
Education (minimum/desirable): Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry with expert knowledge of lab systems and computer system validation
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization Influence and leadership capability, and credibility within the business
Strong organizational skills
Strong training and coaching skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Ability to perform role on multiple, concurrent projects
