Job Description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for the execution of people strategies and aligning business objectives and initiatives with employees and management in designated business units.

1.Serves as a consultant and provides guidance to management on a wide-range of human resources related issues such as performance management, career development, and corrective action
2.Develops partnerships at all levels and maintains an effective level of business acumen to drive business results
3.Acts as an employee champion and change agent to proactively improve the work environment, build morale, increase productivity and retention
4.Ensures the execution of the “talent mindset”
5.Assess and anticipates HR-related needs by analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies.
6.Partners with the appropriate COEs to manage and resolve employee issues
7.Maintains compliance with Novartis-Alcon policies.
8.Ensures regulatory compliance with Federal, State and local legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, and reducing legal risks
9.Provides guidance on the development and interpretation of a variety of policies, procedures and practices
10.Partners with site management to develop the site’s organizational capability
11.Execution of Novartis-Alcon initiatives (i.e. Diversity and Inclusion, HR Optimization, Compensation and Benefits)
