An Operational Excellence professional who can work alongside the Global Head Operational Excellence to drive the implementation of the Operational Excellence organization, ensuring transparency of critical manufacturing site projects, and supporting the Global Operational Excellence team.
• Run Project Management Office for Implementation of Operational Excellence within Global TechOps
• Key member of ongoing strategic projects, owning workstreams, performing analysis, and generating insights
• Perform ad-hoc analysis at the request of the Global Head Operational Excellence
• Work across global functions to ensure projects progress according to plan and drive toward significant, tangible business results
• Ensure that others within TechOps have ability to use business intelligence and competitive intelligence systems
• Manage the Operational Excellence certification of Green and Black Belts at all levels of the organization throughout Global TechOps
• Achieve operational improvements through the identification and implementation of respective OpEx projects, in line with the global TechOps objectives, by applying the Novartis IQP methodology
• Foster an environment that enables the most efficient and effective work processes to achieve continuous quality and productivity improvements in the TechOps network Assure Methodology
• Define KPI's where no global standard are available
• Provide training on (4S, rRCI, IRL Calc.)
• Implement OpEx model on a regional/ site level
• Ensure cross-divisional alignment
• Define reporting guidelines and governance
• Ensure and support certification of Black Belts and Green Belts Project Execution
• Identify projects on a site and regional level and delivers on milestones, deliverables and financial targets applying the IQP methodologies
• Mentor and coach OpEx champions on methods, execution, and use of tools
• Acts as task force leader as per order of Global OpEx Head
• Manage the project portfolio and progress reporting OpEx Process
• Develop, deploy and manage the Communication / Branding and Change Management Plan. Keeps the Operations Heads fully involved through frequent communication and assures active support
• Project selection and prioritization o Supports prioritization of projects and resources to support global, regional, local strategies and key objectives, aligned with the respective leadership teams o Supports relevant management in the identification of projects and team leaders, members, sponsors and steering committee, based on the defined selection criteria
• Development of people and capabilities o Leverages OpEx knowledge and capabilities at all levels o Ensures pipeline of candidates for OpEx positions
Desired profile
Minimum:
- University degree in technical or business discipline, science or pharmaceutical technology or equivalent
- Lean 6-Sigma Black Belt Certification
Languages: Fluent in English, spoken and written. Other languages
Desirable:
High performing, credible professional, with a track record of successfully managing major Lean 6-Sigma projects and leading operational excellence organizations; possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity; ability to network and communicate with top management of various functions, strong cross-functional overview and knowledge of the Sandoz business
