Finance Internship Program (6 months)

The Finance Internship Program is a 6 month paid finance internship program focused on providing university students with practical work experience.

Your responsibilities

Our APL (Alcon Pharmaceutical Ltd) organization in Fribourg offers you the opportunity to experience a breadth of assignments as well as the flexibility to meet your individual career objectives as we work together to build our businesses. APL is unique within Alcon since we work across all our EMEA markets, multiple process areas (Accounting/Finance: A/R, A/P, accounting & reporting, controls & compliance; Supply Chain; Customer Order Management; Quality), and special projects.

The intern assignment is all-around work designed to allow you to experience, first-hand, the type of work we do within Alcon. As an intern, you can make an impact on the business as well as continue to build your analytical, technical and leadership skills. Most projects offer the opportunity to work with individuals in a variety of capacities within the area you're assigned and, potentially in other functions.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

Profile
• Current graduate student enrolled in an accredited university
• Preferred concentration/majors in Accounting/Finance or Business Management
• Ability to commit to a 6 month internship program full-time or part-time
• Willingness to learn from others on the job and inside a specific team
• Curiosity to explore different functions and unique roles at Alcon and build project execution skills
• Fluency in English; any other European language will be a strong asset
