Job purpose
Novartis is currently recruiting for an Expert Scientific Writer to join the Medical Communications Team, to manage and complete assigned Medical Communications deliverables at high quality standards.
This role offers global exposure to the Med Comms area at Novartis and will provide the successful individual with the opportunity to work on a variety of highly innovative projects across a number of therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities
•Demonstrate a command of assigned therapeutic areas and expertise with assigned products
•Research and write original content for publications activities (primary and review manuscripts, abstracts, posters), slide presentations and other materials
•Research, develop and write content that is scientifically accurate, evidence-based, grammatically accurate, referenced using appropriate sources, and consistent with quality standards
•Clearly communicate medical scientific concepts in a condensed, audience-appropriate way
•Demonstrate the flexibility/adaptability necessary to function on different therapeutic teams as needed
•Interpret and apply clinical data in medical communication deliverables

The Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC), Dublin, was set up in 2013 and is located in a state-of-the-art facility on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge. Minimum requirements
Requirements
• Educational background (MS, PhD, PharmD, or MD) in life sciences
• Excellent written and oral English
• Previous extensive experience in medical communications and scientific writing (agency or in-house)
• Good understanding of work processes for medical communications and medical information
• Previous experience in neuroscience is strongly preferred
