The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) is a Brussels-based trade association founded in 1978 representing the research-based pharmaceutical industry operating in Europe. Through its membership of 33 national associations and 40 leading pharmaceutical companies, EFPIA represents 1,900 EU companies committed to researching, developing and manufacturing new medical treatments. Starting January 2016, 33 countries in Europe are to report on transfer of values between Pharma and HCP/HCO's based on full 2015 data. Novartis has setup Global Xpend Services to partner with local country affiliates to support them with their preparation and submission of EFPIA compliant reports. The Position The EFPIA Cross Border Payments Specialist will manage a small operational support team responsible for coordinating efforts with European affiliates in implementing a data collection process for cross border spend data. The individual will work under the direct supervision of the Global Xpend Service Operations Lead and will become a specialist on EFPIA Cross Border Payments support processes, policies and regulatory reporting requirements.

As the EFPIA Cross Border Payments Specialist - you will
• Lead an operational team to deliver cross border processing support to local country affiliates including data collection and validation, support & dispute query handling, BI reporting and training
• Manage, prioritize, and respond to helpdesk support queries in a timely manner and that are in line with SLA targets
• Develop specialist knowledge on all reportable EFPIA Cross Border spend data and work with compliance leads to provide consultative support to local affiliates
• Contribute to the design and implementation of EFPIA Cross Border processes and practices and resolve any gaps with existing or new / improved business processes
• Regularly liaise with local country SPOCs (Single Points of Contact) to ensure accurate capture of cross border spend data in a timely manner and to escalate issues to relevant stakeholders where necessary
• Implement rigorous service performance metrics including bi monthly KPIs & Scorecard and to drive local country affiliates to address backlog or slippage on agreed milestones
• Conduct regular data quality checks on captured spend data including analyzing business objects spend reports and resolving spend data discrepancies when identified
• Prepare for and facilitate data capture workshops with local affiliates and including the translation of global processes into day to day operational procedures
• Monitor training requirements and prepare materials and organize targeted training sessions for local country SPOCs
• Contribute to the operational process improvement activity by providing support to the Global Xpend Operations Lead in any improvement program initiatives

Desired profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Management or related field English - fluent oral and written Other language desirable but not essential
• 3-4 years' prior experience as business analyst; preferably with data management support experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong process management and data analytical ability
• Experience in service management reporting, maintaining scorecards and monitoring support success
• Proactive and confident individual willing to investigate and challenge information where appropriate
• Be highly organized and work well under pressure as well as have a strong sense of urgency
• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
• Have an understanding of the EU EFPIA or US Physicians Sunshine Act (US Transparency) Code
• Desirable to have understanding of Pharma business including its regulatory environment
