Job purpose:
• To achieve targets on sales and patient market share growth.
• To drive and optimise profitability, sales, market share growth and revenue for the overall Territory.
• To develop strategic and tactical plans for the territory in collaboration with the Business Franchise Head.
• To create and execute territory and marketing plans for the assigned product portfolio.
• To build and develop enduring relationships with the leadership of strategic customers, medical experts and industry experts.
• To provide guidance, direction and leadership to Disease Area Specialists within the territory.
Key Responsibilities:
• To achieve territory sales and market share targets.
• To drives sales in the assigned account base by means of proactive territory and account planning, relationship-building and good influencing skills.
• To create and execute strategic and tactical marketing and territory plans for allocated products in line with Novartis standards and strategy at a National and Global level.
• To manage National product performance and adjust plans accordingly.
• To develop National sales and market share forecasts, to manage the annual budget and A& P budgets effectively and to communicate budget impacts within the organization.
• To develop and implement customer-centric and patient-centric programs which create value to key customers and stakeholders so as to maximize Novartis access and sales.
• To monitor competitor activities and therapeutic trends closely as well as being able to gauge opportunities in the marketplace.
• To be highly informed about the Company and rival products.
• To actively seek business opportunities, based on a clear and full understanding of products and territory accounts.
• To ensure compliance in all interactions throughout the organization and maintain regular liaison with the Regional and Local compliance functions to ensure that all processes and activities are compliant with internal and external policies (NP4, EFPIA, deontological code, global guidelines).
• In our high-performance team environment, the role requires key cross-functional collaboration with: Medical, Marketing, Region, Sales, Market Access and Finance.
• Sales performance and market share development for owned brands Delivery and quality of strategic business plan for defined territory and products Access to and quality of relationship with key customers Contact rate, contact quality and coverage of targeted customers, as per agreed call plan (QTQ metrics)
• Accuracy of forecasting Management of promotional budget in line with phasing
• Responsibility for spending a large proportion of time in the field

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
• University degree in bioscience, medicine and/or business.
• English 3-5 years industry experience Haematology experience preferable
• Proven track record in sales Proven execution in large project management
• Proven understanding of health care system Clearly demonstrated ability to create and execute marketing strategies Strong analytical skills
• Experience in competitive selling or key account management
• Previous background/experience in medical or scientific work beneficial
