Responsible for managing the entire contract process for IDN customers, including drafting of contract documents, analyzing and redlining terms and conditions, and identifying and reporting on contract risks. Partners with key internal departments and the customer to develop and implement mutually acceptable contract agreements.
• Serves as primary point of contact and support for contracting responsibilities associated with as-signed IDN customers. • Accountable for the management of contract proposals for assigned IDN customers, including drafting, redlining, review and presentation of contract terms and conditions, resolution of contractual disputes, and securing appropriate internal reviews and approvals. Involve legal resources as required. • Develop strong customer relationships throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring customer needs are understood and communicated and Sandoz business needs are effectively managed. • Develops and runs contract reports and analytics to identify customer and
contract-specific business risks. Escalates issues to management when appropriate and helps drive root cause and solution development. • Highlight any contractual risks or issues to management for resolution. • Manages customer communications related to contract changes, and works with trade partners to ensure contract changes are accurately captured between Sandoz and trade partners. • With management approval, develops, maintains, and communicates, contract materials to the Sandoz IDN field force in support of ongoing sales initiatives. • Works with Pricing Department, Sales Account Management, Marketing and Legal Counsel on analysis supporting the development, implementation, and management of new IDN contracting strategies. • Ensure the IDN sales teams is updated on significant customer-related contract issues. • Responsible for monitoring the Siebel approval process to ensure timely customer response. • Actively participates in contract meetings and contract negotiations as required at the direction of Manager, Contracts. • Partners with Finance on all chargeback, rebates and collections related discrepancies and proposes potential measures to assist in resolving, if necessary, and to prevent reoccurrence. • Ensures that all work adheres to departmental processes and Novartis Financial Control Matrix requirements. Works in conjunction with Process Champion to identify process improvements throughout the department while consistently promoting a culture of compliance. • Serves as troubleshooting and training resource for others in Sales and Marketing. • Works independently. Interfaces with all levels of management, negotiating and influencing to build consensus.

Minimum requirements
Education: Bachelor's from an accredited college
Experience: • 3-5 years of business experience with an understanding of contractual terms and conditions • Knowledge of pharmaceutical contracting and its market segments. • Strong analytical skills. • Proficiency with MS Office applications including advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities. • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload. • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus. • Ability to work in a fast paced, cross-functional team atmosphere. • Leadership, problem solving and decision making. • Analytical thinking, communication/teamwork, planning and organizing. • Coaching and identifying process improvement opportunities.
