We're currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of:

Clinical Lab Technician I, Molecular, Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm-8:30pm

Position Summary
This is a non-licensed position that is responsible for pre-analytical, supervised analytical and post-analytical processes associated with specimen processing and test performance in the Molecular Laboratory. Under the direct and constant supervision of a licensed CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or CA Clinical Genetics Molecular Biologist and qualified supervisor responsibilities include:

Proficiency in selected procedures in the wet lab including DNA and RNA extraction.

Prepare reagents for laboratory testing under CLS supervision.

Assist with QC and Preventative Maintenance documentation.

Enter data into laboratory information system.

Stock supplies and clean laboratory, preparing laboratory for next day's processing requirements.

Additional duties as assigned.

Desired profile

Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution.

Prior experience in a clinical lab and hands-on experience in cell culture and aseptic technique is preferred, but not required.

Strict attention to detail with an ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
