The Novartis Oncology Target Identification and Validation group is seeking a highly motivated scientist to develop and test Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications for patient stratification, indication expansion, and combination therapeutics for a diverse Oncology drug pipeline.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and working with genome-scale applications, and have experience in one or more of the following areas: NGS instrumentation and applications, NGS data QC and analyses, cell-based assay design and development, and automated liquid handling. Design and analyses of cell-based pooled screening experiments (shRNA, CRISPR) or cell-based interrogation of gene function (e.g. variomics) would also be a plus. This position will require excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Minimum requirements
The candidate should have a B.A./B.S or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of industry or academic relevant experience. The position involves multiple collaborative projects so strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
