Manage the strategic & tactical development of assigned brands along agreed business and category priorities through the development and implementation of annual marketing plans. Through these plans build the equity of the assigned brands and drive the area business growth.
Develop and implement launch plans for new product/ category launches to drive future growth in the ME region.
Manage the day to day marketing activities. Including field visits, market intelligence and Business reviews.
1. Create the Marketing plan for the brands in line with business objectives. Develop and implement marketing strategies including targets, positioning, pricing, expenses budgets, advertising and tactical promotion of the brand under the coordination of the BUH.
2. Manage agreed brand advertising and promotional budgets to achieve category goals. Highlight risks, recommend and manage corrective action where appropriate.
3. Develop a twelve month communication program (eye care professional, consumer and trade) and ensure delivery of all communication briefs for execution by the relevant customer team.
4. Ensure development of media/Digital plans for managed brands as per agreed media/Digital strategy keeping in mind Target Audience (TA), reach & frequency targets.
5. Identify, prepare and implement launch recommendations for potential New Product Launch (NPL) / New business opportunities with the help of BUM, including full financials and Regulatory co-ordination.
6. Evaluate market information and competitor activity and recommend responsive action where necessary.
7. Monitor and Analyse business performance, sales budgets, forecasts and market shares / channel distribution to ensure achievement of agreed targets. Recommend and co-ordinate implementation of corrective activity where necessary. Prepare and present monthly business reviews.
8. Seek innovative solutions, ways of working, methods of driving brand equity and meeting consumers' needs. Share best practice around the region.
9. Provide support to BUM as ME brand representative of regional core teams as required.
10. Act as the day-to-day Alcon Vision Care contact with Distributors, suppliers, including Advertising Agencies, Research Agencies, PR and Digital Agencies.
11. Use the tools of Alcon Vision Care Marketing Leadership Programme and ensure compliance within the Alcon team.
12. Regular field visits to the main countries.
Desired profile
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business / Marketing at least to Bachelor level, preferably MBA.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in consumer healthcare/ OTC/ FMCG brand marketing of a multinational organization.
- Robust record of achievements
- Experience in managing advertising campaigns and major launches
- Travel to Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon and Jordan required.
