Job Description

The BPA Manager - NBS Germany will provide innovative and effective business planning and cost analysis for the departments of the NBS Domains in Novartis Germany. Ensure quality Management of the corresponding controlling activities.

Major accountabilities:
Planning, Analysis & Reporting
- Manages business areas planning and reporting activities in close
collaboration with Local country controllers and Global Domain Finance
- Controls and manages annual budget and quarterly accrual/ latest estimate
process (Distributes timelines, provides budget templates, works in overall
view of priority setting)
- Communicates with Functions and Function Managers to elaborate concise
budgets and Latest Estimates
- Analyses data and provides Management with monthly reporting by Domain,
Functional area and activities and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Co-ordinates with Global NBS Finance (REFS, IT, FRAOps, HR,
Procurement) to provide an overall view of the budget for each of the
domain.
- Ensures compliance of process with accounting and reporting guidelines.
- Attends NBS Pass II calls
- Attends BPA Forum NBS Deutschland
- Prepares and supports the creation of CARs in the area of REFS in
collaboration with the REFS Head, new CAR Tool - Investment controlling
REFS Anlage WBS element SAP
- Capex planning REFS und CAR Monitoring
- Supports Charging model
- Supports Accruals tool
- Cost center reporting and analysis
- IS40 Reporting

Training and Support
- Defines and implements standard procedures to improve workflow and
accountability in Domains (i.e. budgeting, accruals, reporting etc.)
- Supports Management in Controlling and priority setting and decision taking.
- Overall co-ordination with BPA in other functions in NBS Germany.

Key Performance Indicators:
- Accuracy of plans and ability to produce quality analysis within required time
frame, to enable increasing productivity in Functional departments of NBS
Germany.
- Standardized, simple and fast processes.

Desired profile

Education:
Degree in Economics (University / FH)

Experience:
3-4 years of Controlling, Consulting and dealing with various organizational levels

Languages:
Fluent in German & English; oral and written
