Role Description: Campervan Fitter / Vehicle Converter
Reports into: Workshop Manager

Nomad Campervans specialise in the sale and conversion of high quality modern Volkswagen Campervans. We produce a range of campervans for sale as well as converting individuals own vehicles. We are official agents for leading conversions parts manufacturers such as Reimo, Dometic and Webasto and pride ourselves in producing a professional, factory finished product. Purpose of Role:
As someone with workshop and fitting experience, you will already be familiar with many of the processes involved in campervan conversion. You will be responsible for completion of all aspects of the fit out and conversion to vehicles in our Nomad Campervans division. This is a technical role that requires a sound engineering and automotive knowledge and an ability to follow set plans and procedures. The role reports into the Workshop Manager. Full training will be provided.

Principle Responsibilities:
1. All aspects of the build process including fitment of windows, roofs, seats, auto electrics, gas, water and the production of the furniture kits for our VW campervan conversions.

2. Basic fixes, repair and maintenance on our fleet of Bunk Campers hire vehicles between rentals.

3. Basic vehicle checks, completion of paperwork and sign off in relation to the build process.

4. Tool maintenance and workplace health and safety.

Key Competencies:
The role requires a calm, organised and practical individual. You must be able to follow procedures, work to deadlines and work as part of a team. Previous experience in working in a workshop environment. Preference will also be given to applicants with a professional campervan conversion background. Qualifications in the installation of gas and electrical equipment in leisure vehicles are also desirable.

Experience / Education.
• Minimum Secondary Level educated.• Experience in campervan conversion and / or automotive roles desirable.• 2 years experience in a workshop.

Remuneration.
• 38 hrs per week with the opportunity to earn overtime at standard rate of pay.• Up To £12.50 per hour• 28 days paid holiday per year.
