What you'll be doing

As it is all about location and maps we are now seeking for a talented and motivated cartographer to join our Cartography Design Team to create customized map experiences for internal and external use.

·  You will support in developing customized map features & views with a strong focus on automotive maps, taking the customer requirements into account.
·  You will have to choose the right amount and variety of content and balance the design of the different elements and density according to the use case.
·  You will take care to review the results internally, end-to-end testing and lead it to a sign-off and release.
·  You will also work collaboratively with our software development team and product managers to produce map customization tools, test & improve those and lead it to the market.

Success demands visionary thinking, strong visual design skills, a passion for quality, the ability to learn quickly, the know-how to adapt and apply knowledge into practice while continuously improving your performance.

Our requirements:

·  Preferred field of study: Cartography, Geography, GIS or any related field.
·  Preferably experience in digital mapping and graphic design preferably for digital maps
·  Understanding of navigation maps and web mapping markets
·  Passion for cartography
·  Drive for excellence and comfort working independently with little supervision
·  Skilled user of Illustrator / Photoshop or Blender and GIS packages
·  Experience with Mapbox or other map styling tools is a big plus
·  Understanding of XML, json or CSS is a bonus
·  Fluent in English, both written and spoken
·  Good communications and negotiation abilities
