Trainee Manufacturing Staff (Special Skills)
Mission and Main Objectives
Auto Electrical
This 3 year Apprenticeship Scheme provides thorough training for nationally recognised qualifications. Developed in conjunction with NAC and a local College, it combines theoretical and practical skills and will give you a valuable insight into all aspects of automotive manufacturing.
You'll gain the specialist skills and knowledge in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Competance required to work as a member of a team working on the final line of the production facilities. Your time will be split between off-the-job training at a local College and on-the-job training in the plant where you'll have the chance to work with the most up-to-date manufacturing equipment in the industry.
What you'll achieve at the end of it
Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Installation
NVQ – Level 2 & Level 3 Diploma in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Competence
Tech Cert - Level 2 & Level 3 Diploma in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Principles
Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT
Light Vehicle Maintenance

Paint Spraying
This 2 year Apprenticeship Scheme provides thorough training for nationally recognised qualifications. Developed in conjunction with NAC and a local College, it combines theoretical and practical skills and will give you a valuable insight into all aspects of automotive manufacturing.
You'll gain the specialist skills and knowledge in paint repair required to work as a member of a team working on the final line of the production facilities. Your time will be split between off-the-job training at a local College and on-the-job training in the plant where you'll have the chance to work with the most up-to-date manufacturing equipment in the industry.
What you'll achieve at the end of it
Apprenticeship in Vehicle Repair Paint Principles
Technical Certificate Level 2 Diploma in vehicle accident and repair paint principles (to be confirmed)
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in vehicle accident and repair paint principles (to be confirmed)
Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Salary
· £11,590 per annum (£223 per week)
· Increments of approx £1,000 every six months (based on performance)
· To £15,450 per annum (£297 per week)
· Shift allowance and overtime (if applicable)

Background & Experience
Who can apply for the Apprenticeship
Auto Electrical
You'll need at least 4 GCSEs: Maths (Grade A or B), English Language (Grade C or above), Science based subject (Grade C or above) and one other subject (Grade C or above). Some experience and/or knowledge of electronics would be an advantage. You will also need a full valid driving license.
Light Vehicle Maintenance
You'll need at least 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English Language.
Paint Spraying
You'll need GCSE, English Language and Maths Grade A-C, or Functional Skills English and Maths Level 2, and GCSE's Grades A-C (or equivalent) in 2 other subjects
For all schemes you'll also need to be willing to learn and happy working as part of a team. Flexible and a good time keeper. For the purposes of this apprenticeship you must be aged over 16 and below 24 on 1 September, 2016, we will therefore request your date of birth as part of your application.
