We're currently looking for a Maintenance Technologist to join our team in Canton, MS. A Maintenance Technologist assists in Nissan North America's efforts to promote and support Maintenance Manufacturing Departments in all locations. They contribute to reduction of Manufacturing downtime, improvement processes and production efficiency improvements. Job functions Include but are not limited to: 1. Troubleshoots systemic issues within the plant and effects maintainable countermeasures. 2. Leads technician training for their respective shift. Assists the supervisor in assessing skill level of the technicians, and coordinates with the supervisor training regimens based upon those observations. 3. Recommends and makes improvements to maintenance systems, processes, and work flow. Seeks technician involvement for problem solving and needed shop improvement ideas. Actively engages the entire workforce in the problem solving process. 4. Assists the technicians within the plant during breakdown activities. 5. Communicates with suppliers and vendors regularly. Orders necessary shop materials utilizing all necessary processes and resources. 6. Coordinates feasibility studies and evaluations of manufacturing and engineering concerns. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Job Knowledge and Skill: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Industrial maintenance background required. Knowledge of PLC's, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics and, strong troubleshooting ability in these areas. 2. Experience: Minimum three to five years of related industrial maintenance experience. 3. Education: Technical school and/or maintenance apprenticeship required. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses. 4. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products. Welcome to an open lane of possibility.
