Project Description:
This intern position supports Purchasing efforts. The function of this job is to determine supplier for quality award, identifying where supplier improvements need to be made, and information source to support RNPO Performance Reviews.
Project Focus may include
· Conduct the annual quality survey for raw materials.
· Work with Buyers to create supplier panel including market research into vendor mapping.
· Centralized aluminum program.
Qualifications:
· Must be able to function autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited direct supervision and be able to provide clear recommendations and feedback.
· Project management skills are required.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Must be comfortable presenting findings and presenting to Management relative to the assignments given.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Self-motivated and work well with people.
· Strong character and work ethic.
Day or regional travel may be required.
Education:
· Must be currently enrolled in school; Sophomore level or above
· Business or Engineering related 4 year degree required
· Minimum 3.0 GPA
