Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a PDC Supervisor at our Compton, CA Parts Distribution Center.
Job Duties
Supervises non- exempt warehouse operators in the receipt, storage, order processing, inventory maintenance, and shipment of parts and accessories for the assigned distribution center. Supervises labeling and packing of parts and accessories. Responsible for meeting and maintaining all operational standards, establishes timing objectives, and controls expenses within budget guidelines. Trains employees and temporary workers.
Working knowledge of workflow management, logistics, inventory management, and warehousing functions. Basic understanding of transportation management. Familiarity with federal workplace safety regulations, federal transportation/shipment regulations. Good oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. Good problem solving skills.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; will consider High School Diploma/GED plus some college coursework, seminars and in-house classroom training.
· Minimum of 3 years experience in directly related experience.
· Two years of supervisory experience.
· Working knowledge of workflow management, logistics, inventory management, and warehousing functions.
· Basic understanding of transportation management.
· Familiarity with federal workplace safety regulations, federal transportation/shipment regulations, environmental protection regulations for hazardous waste and for multi-modal transportation, and international air shipment regulations.
· Good oral and written communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
· Good organization and problem solving skills.
· Experience with MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
· Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a differentiator
