We are currently looking for a Parts Distribution Center Supervisor for our facility located in Orlando, FL .
POSITION FUNCTIONS
Supervise/Oversee Daily Departmental activity – Spend majority of time on PDC floor to be aware of work progress and be able to implement corrective measures as required to ensure PDC missions are accomplished successfully; Control Parts Order Preparation, Split Pick Lists, Assign Staff; Monitor Parts Pick Process to ensure daily deadlines are met; Monitor work quality output including Picking accuracy, packaging and paper work; Monitor workflow in Receiving Departments to ensure staffing adequate to meet demand; Review put-away quality
Employee Management – Ensure employees follow SOP's, Communicate Corporate Communiqué's and direction with staff; Provide technical support and advice to assist employees improve their productivity and work quality; Track and coordinate attendance and overtime, Provide guidance and coaching to create positive work atmosphere; Monitor and inform employees of any issues to correct /improve and keep log of these issue.
Oversee Warehouse and Equipment Maintenance and Safety - Ensure good order & cleanliness; Monitor vital systems i.e.: Heating, Ventilation, Fire Sprinklers, Compactors, Lighting, Loading Dock Systems, Repair (or Dispatch and monitor repair) and oversee maintenance operations as required. Ensure safe warehouse environment i.e.: Fire Prevention, Theft Deterrence, Maintain Security Monitors, Monitor building and grounds for maintenance requirements and damages or potential liability; Ensure PDC Staff uses material handling equipment safely, with full regard to the safety of others, themselves and the equipment; Monitor equipment to ensure good working order; Respond immediately to safety and repair issues.
Inventory Management - Ensure that proper stock control disciplines are in place and consistently practiced; Process stock adjustments on dealer orders, issue credits/debits; Process picking discrepancies, review discrepancies with responsible employees, and provide remedial insight; Co-ordinate functions necessary to prepare and conduct Annual Physical Inventory. Dealer / Warehouse Relations - Provide shipment tracking Data, resolve shipment issues; Review parts damage reported by dealers, issue credits and adjustments, negotiate and authorize settlement or repairs when possible on damaged goods. Co-ordinate shipment of specials and bulk orders, respond to queries, Review, credit and correct miss-packaged or unsaleable goods returned for credit, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 1+ years of supervisory experience in related field
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Bachelors Degree preferred
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, etc. to output routine products with similar, non-creative formats.
Demonstrated supervisory skill with an emphasis on productivity and safety required.
