W e're currently looking for a Marketability Test Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Roles & Responsibilities :
· Conducting static & dynamic evaluations of Nissan and competitor vehicles.
· Setting vehicle and system level performance targets for Trucks, SUV & LCV programs.
· Defining the essential factors to both improve attractiveness of Nissan products and reduce customer dissatisfaction.Forecast IQS, CR and competitive trend in the NA Market.
· Planning, scheduling and carrying out tests to assess full vehicle performance achieves target.
· Leading project development activities and communicating effectively within cross-functional teams.
· Ability to present project updates & summary reports within test engineering, design, quality, manufacturing & project management organizations.
· Proposing countermeasures to resolve customers concerns and working cross-functionally to ensure implementation and effectiveness matches prediction.
· Negotiating in order to deliver product improvements that add value to Nissan and Infiniti customers.
· Documenting all test and development activities through test reports and meeting minutes. Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent degree) from an accredited university is required
· Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive development or equivalent
· Experience in customer oriented evaluation methods or market surveys
· Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access
· Exposure to Siemens-NX, Catia or other CAD & PDM programs
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & meet project timing requirements
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills
· Comfortable with presentations to peers, supervisors & executive level managers
· Demonstrated history for taking proactive approach & working cross-functionally across multiple functions
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand complex mechanical systems
· Experience gathering data related to customer needs and expectations along with ability to summarize and present the results concisely & make clear recommendations
· Training in quality analysis tools and ability to apply concepts (Pareto charts, Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys Analysis, etc.)
· Ability to travel within North America and Japan (approximately 20-40% required)
· Internal applicants at the Engineer 2 and Engineer 3 level will be considered for lateral move.
