Position Title
Finance Business Partner
Mission and Main Objectives
· From April 2018 Nissan will be selling the global battery business, including the plant based at its Sunderland site.
· The new business, AESC UK, has a vacancy for a Controller in the Finance team.This is a great opportunity to help establish robust financial analysis, reporting and control in the new stand alone business.
· The new business will have annual turnover of circa £250m pa
· The role is to provide analysis and insight to battery plant financial performance, and to support operational management with relevant financial information to support decision making
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
· Provision of accurate and timely financial information to the Plant Management Team to assist with key decision making
· Provide comprehensive monthly performance reports covering all Manufacturing Costs
· Support and challenge budget holders through use of detailed variance analysis and presentation of results, highlighting trends, areas of concern and agreeing actions for improvement
· Support the monthly accounting close process including balance sheet reconciliation
· Preparation of Business Planning and Forecasting information
· Assistance in elements of product costing and price setting for 3 rd party customers
· Liaise with European and Global control functions, and benchmarking costs between plants
· Ensure accurate and up to date balance sheet accounts

Background & Experience
· Qualified Accountant
· Experience of operating in a manufacturing environment is essential
· Experience of using SAP in a manufacturing environment is preferred
· Confident communicator to all levels within the organisation
· Strong analytical skills in evaluation of data
· Energetic, flexible and committed to achieve tight deadlines
· Well organised and able to prioritise workload
· Excellent PC skills
