Position Title
Engineer - NLN Cross Carline Marketability
Mission and Main Objectives
To gather and provide detailed European Automotive market and customer information to Nissan globally, to support the development of attractive, profitable vehicles that increase Nissan's Market share.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Joining the Dynamic Cross Carline team responsible for advanced technologies (e.g., driver assistance systems, camera monitoring systems and other new technologies)
· Establish customer target requirements for cross car line systems.
· Develop European Market requirements for input to future Nissan products
· Analyse European Automotive market and customers to identify unmet needs and help develop potential solutions
· Evaluate Cross car line systems and co-ordinate judgments across different Evaluation groups.
· Work with Nissan Europe Cross car line group to ensure mid-term strategy is appropriate and competitive.
· Make accurate and clear feedback to Design & Test sections to ensure targets are achieved, and support development of solutions.
· Analyse customer surveys to confirm performance of Nissan/Competitor models & technologies, identify areas of improvement and understand customer requirements to feed into future models
· Benchmarking of Nissan and competitor vehicles
Additional Tasks and responsibilities (include team management, if any)
· Support preparation of Nissan Technical Centre Europe input to Front Line Forum
· Coordinate preparation of competitiveness reports
· Support preparation of reports to Overseas Leaders Meeting
· Nissan operates a zero injury program and undertakes proactive health and safety activities annually to work toward eliminating industrial accidents, occupational illnesses, and traffic accidents. Part of your role will be to ensure you understand and follow health and safety policy and procedure.

· Vehicle engineering experience.
· Self motivated with proven ability in concern resolution and investigation work.
· Able to respond to changing demands speedily.
· Customer focused, able to lead, support and motivate to achieve goals.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaison/negotiation at all levels both internally and with external organisations and across all regions, in Europe, UK and Japan.
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to plan and manage own workload and that of support staff.
· Conscious of adding value to the company by increasing profits and/or decreasing costs.
· An in depth knowledge of mainstream competitor vehicles and ofcurrent ADAS available today and of likely future progression desirable
Minimum Education Required
Bachelors Degree
Specific Technical Skills
· Driving and evaluation skills
· Good excel / word / powerpoint skills
· Ability to manage evaluation events - making and delivering event plans.
· Valid driving license
