We're currently looking for a Bilingual- Senior Collection Representative to join our team in Mississauga, ON. This role will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing customers' accounts (formulate, plan, implement collection activities). Provide guidance and training to account representatives. Locate skip accounts, deal with outside agencies (bailiff, lawyer, etc.). Conclude and close all loss files (repo, bankruptcy, write-off, etc.). Job functions Include but are not limited to: The following position function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The position function statements reflect expectations of the fully trained, proficient incumbent who meets all performance criteria. Collection calls and/or correspondence on past due accounts greater than 90 days past due. Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts – customer calls, skip tracing, account adjustments, small and large balance write offs and customer reconciliations. Accountable for reducing delinquency in their assigned region and queue. Must communicate and follow up effectively with customers, dealers and team on a daily basis. Complete weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor on phone statistics, reports, legal and bailiff assignments. Minimum Qualifications: University or College Degree preferred but not required. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Automotive Finance and/or Collections. Strong Customer Service experience and skills.(i.e. resolving past due accounts, calming irate clients) to include coaching, counseling, diplomacy, effective listening skills, influencing, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
