Position Title
APW Engineer
Mission and Main Objectives
Support the delivery of THANKS contribution to Purchasing Supplier Cost Reduction, using established APW/kaizen tools.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Supporting Supplier cost reduction by development of key suppliers, via kaizen improvement activities for efficient operating processes. These aligned to Total delivered Cost and overall THANKS cost reduction targets.
Expanding the Alliance Production Way mindset within the supplier base using the following tools :- Kaizen systems/activities, Benchmarking, Cost Breakdown, Supplier Assessments and TdC road mapping.
Support Purchase with capacity validation & investment requests, to minimise Nissan's investment outlay.
Additional Tasks and responsibilities (include team management, if any)
Co-ordinate and facilitate cross-functional / Monozokuri and cross company teams.
Overseas travel is necessary to fulfill this role.

Background & Experience
Working in the supplier field, candidates must have relevant manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics or Cost breakdown experience.
Previous experience of cross functional working, project management, management of change and a proven ability to communicate effectively is preferred.
Minimum education level:- College diploma.
Minimum Education Required
University degree
Specific Technical Skills
Core Production / IE / Engineering know how.
Good analytical skills.
Capable of gathering and understanding facts and data.
Must be able to work in a team across all levels.
PC literate.
Additional language skills an advantage
