We're currently looking for an Accountant II to join our team in Franklin, TN.

Job Summary

Provides input in the handling of fixed assets accounting issues. Serves as a subject matter resource to others in the company regarding the asset management lifecycle and its specific policies and procedures. Compiles and analyzes complex financial information having a major fiscal impact on the company; prepares complex reports; prepares general ledger accounting entries and account reconciliations. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Job Functions

·  Functions as a team resource on special projects with high impact on company business activities, including responsibility for coordination of projects with other departments, vendors and suppliers.
·  Responsible for insuring that asset capitalization is done accurately and in accordance with GAAP and GRAPH.
·  Prepares and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to the various records.
·  Analyzes and reviews complex general ledger accounts, prepares reconciliations, researches open items and account discrepancies; coordinates resolution of difficult issues with management, other department representatives and outside vendors.
·  Makes recommendations and implements solutions. Prepares and reviews periodic reports such as financial statements, audit reports, management, government, tax, and budget reports.
·  Interacts with internal and external auditors on OAR's, projects, and quarterly audit engagements.
·  Actively involved in the month-end and year-end accounting close process as it relates to asset management and presentation. Regularly reviews processes, anticipates needs of the department and looks for areas for improvement; makes recommendations and can implement solutions.
·  Works with confidential information. Manipulates large volumes of financial data.
·  Active role regarding the management of our offshore accounting team (Genpact).
·  As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
Minimum Qualifications

·  Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP and FASB interpretations; Working knowledge of IFRS; strong knowledge of assigned accounting area with good knowledge of financial statement preparation; very strong analytical and problem solving skills.
·  Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
·  Self-starter with the ability to function without supervision; ability to prioritize, and complete multiple assignments; able to improve efficiency through process improvements and automation.
·  3+ years of related experience at a professional level.
·  BS in Accounting or Finance. CPA required.
·  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or mainframe applications to produce standard and non-standard, creative products.
·  Knowledge of SAP and other accounting systems strongly desired.
