Wave Planner - NALC - E410 (Tues-Friday-5pm-3:30am)

Job description

As a Wave Planner you'll download files from SAP to WMoS and build daily plans / DC processing waves that ensure facility goals and customer expectations are met. Work with DC management to ensure the most cost efficient plan is provided for execution while maintaining proper service levels across different sales channels and product engines. Ensure steady flow moves throughout the facility that supports operational needs of each functional area. Code expedited orders with appropriate mode of transportation to meet the customer's delivery expectations. Complete “Same Day” waves multiple times daily and escalate issues as they may occur. Work with the various teams to ensure the right mix of work is available and setup properly throughout the DC for the Outbound Plan and create an action plan when volume exceeds capacity.

Build knowledge of the system, processes and customers as you will be the key resource for identifying data fields needed for reports as well as working with IT and the Cognos team in creating/modifying reports. Update daily reports used by DC Management, Delivery Planning, Corporate Finance and Upper Management. Attend daily management meetings to provide an update with regards to Planning and Service.

Analyze data and publish metrics to internal and external business partners. You"ll be the liaison between DC and corporate business partners regarding reporting tools and service metrics. You will also maintain historical data files for trending analysis and lead small projects with regards (but not limited to) improving overall service metrics. You must possess the ability to identify root cause and offer suggestions for resolution. You"ll provide daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly reports to DC management team. You"ll analyze reports/data to ensure data is being transmitted between multiple systems and escalate issues to the appropriate parties. You"ll serve as a tester during system upgrades (WMS and SAP etc...)

Desired profile

Minimum Requirements:

·Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience; additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree.

·High level experience with Microsoft/PC skills with an emphasis in data management and reporting.

·Experience using SAP required

·Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and interact comfortably with all levels of personnel including management

·Experience with Business Analysis, Outbound Planning or Distribution Operations a plus

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
