Job description
The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering Net Revenue & market share targets for Nike TEAM, the innovator & market leader in the Football Teamwear market. The role focuses on seeking & signing the leading Grass Roots Football Clubs, Leagues, Academies, & Institutions whilst building lasting profitable partnerships with key retail partners.
· Maintain a database of Grass Roots Clubs and from this establish a priority list of Club Targets
· Establish and maintain direct contact with the priority targets and negotiate kit supply agreements involving retail partners
· Work with a portfolio of retail partners who will service these kit supply agreements. Manage this relationship to ensure maximum profitability for Nike & service satisfaction for the Clubs.
· Drive & support retailers to maximise revenue opportunities with the cubs and institutions they supply
· Account Manage a portfolio of retail partners whom drive incremental sales outside of the Priority Clubs.
· Sell in Futures orders to account portfolio, working to growth targets supplied.
· Ensure all deals are done to satisfy Nike's product ordering cycle.
· Champion and obtain retailer commitment to Nike's digital ordering systems
· Work in partnership with The FA Partnership Lead & TEAM Manager to ensure we leverage Nike brand & Sports Marketing assets to increase market share.
· Be a marketplace expert for Grass Roots Football and the Football Administration Network. Understanding structure & regulations, trends, competitor & retailer activity.
· Be a point of contact for Retailers and maintain relationships under stressful situations and strive to find resolutions to issues as they arise.
· Deliver regular internal reports, weekly updates, seasonal tracking and forecasts, to fully understand Nike's market position and recognize the opportunity for business growth.
Desired profile
· The successful candidates should possess a sound educational background, with qualifications to degree level preferred, and experience within the Sales and/or Business Development arena, ideally within the Teamwear or Sport's industry.
· On a personal level, candidates should be able to present confidently and persuasively, show good organisational skills and be able to build strong relationships. The ability to operate pro-actively and independently is key, with the potential to scope out opportunities and create future plans. A passion for Football and knowledge of the Grass Roots Game is preferred
· Due to the nature of the market place this role is likely to require some irregular working hours with evening meetings at clubs and occasional weekends required from time to time. The role is Field based but will require regular visits to Nike's London office and occasional visits to the Sunderland office.
